Abstract


Since the 1970s , the focus of foreign language teaching gradually shift from the focus on teachers to focus on learners . The study found that the learners' language learning beliefs directly affect the learner 's learning behavior , thereby affecting the final results of the learning . Therefore , it is necessary to help learners to reflect on their language learning beliefs . From a social constructivist perspective , the research of the University of North China Electric Power University, 205 non - English major sophomore English learning concepts in-depth investigation to compare the differences of high school students, and low - grouped students in college English learning concepts , and explore the relationship between learning concepts and English scores . I hope this study to facilitate college English teachers understand the students learn the concept of the status quo , the timely and correct their misconceptions , improve learning strategies to improve learning efficiency , to help them realize their true sense of self- learning .
