Abstract


Ascribe to global energy crisis and civil consciousness of energy conservation as well as strengthened environment protection, the "green power" electric vehicles are attracting more and more attentions from governments and vehicle industries. Possessing multiple merits, BLDCM (brushless dc motor) is largely used in vehicle drives. The electric vehicles electric control system is the core component of the vehicle system, whose performance has a significant impact on the stability and reliability of electric vehicles. Thus, studies of an electric vehicle driving controller with reasonable price and excellent performance have a high application value and social significance.First, this paper introduces the developing background of electric vehicles and the accordance of motor selections, and the basic structure and the basic working principle of permanent brushless dc motor are introduced as well. According to the characteristics of the prototype motor, it determines the control program and algorithm of the controller by consideration of the speed regulating’s and PWM modulation mode’s characteristics.The BLDCM with a48V DC rated voltage is selected as the controlled object, on the base of which the hardware and software designs of the whole set motor control system are carried out and tested successfully. In hardware design, Infineon XC2365is selected as the main controller chip, and IR2110chipset is used for driving the inverter bridge circuit. The hardware design includes XC2365chip design, power supply circuit design, hall circuit and its photoelectric isolation design, power drive circuit design,current collection circuit design and over current protection design; In software design, DAvE is used for configuring the basic frameworks of the controller’s program, the frameworks are imported to Keil compiler while C language is applied for building the main controlling programs and subordinate functions. Moreover, the controller adopts a two-way closed loop feedback control system for the current and speed, which also achieves a digital PI control algorithm by programming.At last, basing on these hardware and software design, the effective control of the electric vehicles is realized. the performances of the controller by operating the motor in different conditions are measured, the correspondence between the phase sequence and Hall signals are verified, and various signal diagrams and waveforms are recorded by experiments. Thus the control performance of the controller can be discussed briefly.
