Abstract


ABSTRACT:Urban rail transit trains start and stop frequently, with heavy load, feedback considerable energy when regenerative braking.An ideal way to reuse the energy is being absorbed by other trains nearby. But actually it is very difficult to achieve exactly match the traction and braking. In order to prevent regeneration failures, storage device can be used to excess energy recovery, improve the braking, and release of energy when needed. With rapid charge and discharge characteristics, long life, high efficiency, and environmental maintenance-free advantages, supercapacitor has made itself a popular research object in this area. The purpose of this paper is to build the supercapacitor energy storage system experimental platform to provide support for the study of the supercapacitor energy storage system in the laboratory.This thesis has done a lot of research on the actual urban rail traction system, including the substation, traction system, the characteristics of the super capacitor energy storage system, by means of theory and MATLAB simulation. Based on the characteristics of each system, simulation platforms have been setup in proper proportion. Taking into account the actual system, a substation may supply more than one train at the same time, the energy flows between each train natural, each train’s pantograph voltage pressures not only by its own traction and braking. A Load simulation system has been specially designed to simulate the impact of other trains.The experimental platform consists of multiple devices, each device is equipped with a control, debugging circuits and human-computer interaction interface. In order to achieve a unified and efficient control of multiple devices, and centralized monitoring and debugging, this paper also built supervisory system based on CAN-BUS and LabVIEW.The experiments has proved that this system can achieve the super capacitor charging and discharging experiments, single train storage system simulation, multi-train system simulation, monitoring platform also played a very good utility. Pressure on the characteristics of the supercapacitor test and single trains and multi-train control experiments and analysis has laid foundation for further study of the capacity of the configuration of the supercapacitor and charge and discharge control strategy.
