Abstract


Unlike other languages, Chinese use function words and words order in expression not inflection. As an indispensable part of function words, aspect particle plays an important part in modern Chinese. It not only help finishing sentences but also assisted in communication. Aspect particle "zhe" is an emphasis in modern Chinese, and also the big difficulty in Chinese teaching, as a focal point in teaching Chinese as foreign language, it has become a large obstacle for international students in their Chinese acquisition.Aspect particle "zhe" has always been the hot spot for linguists in their discussion, and some language predecessors have already made a lot of achievements on it. From the perspective of history,"zhe" was not originally used as a function word, it has experienced a long period of virtual process. And in the debate of what ingredients "zhe" should be, there exits considerable controversy among modern linguists.This essay has made a lot of analysis on aspect particle "zhe" from the perspective of both modern Chinese and teaching Chinese as Foreign Language, describing "zhe" on the base of syntactic structure, semantics, syntax, pragmatics. Essay also try to find the reason why the international students are more easy to make mistake in using "zhe" through the way of sorting HSK database together with issuing questionnaires. Then, made attentive analysis to the collected data under the theory of error analysis and second language acquisition.In order to better the analysis, this essay selected four methods to survey, namely:1)questionnaire;2)statistical method;3)error analysis;4)comparative analysis. We get all the data and discuss them from these aspects and compared the bias situation and bias rates from international students of Indonesia, Thailand, and South Korea.As an innovation, our essay not only based on aspect particle"zhe" itself or the data collected from students, but also introduced conception of "country-specific", doing research to the international students of Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea and making summary according to these three countries. We hope to provide new ideas for Chinese Teaching in the future.
