Abstract


Phononic crystals are put forward on the study of the subject of photonic crystal.Since the concepts of phononic crystals came forward in1992, they have aroused theresearches’ much attention. Phononic crystals have huge potential application value asthey can efficiently modulate the acoustic waves/elastic waves both in time and spacedomain.The theoretical derivation process of multi-scattering method which can be used tocalculate the phononic crystal is given in the text. This method is successful in the studyof the tow-dimensional solid/solid and solid/liquid cylindrical phononic crystal bandstructure and transmission, etc.In this text, surface waves in two-dimensional phononic crystal of right trianglearrangement and regular triangle arrangement of steel cylinder in the air are investigatedwith multi-scattering method. Research shows that when the steel cylinders are closelypacked, the interface between phononic crystal and air can be approximately regarded asa rigid surface because of the highly elastic impedance between the steel and the air, andthe surface waves will be sure to appear in some frequency.Using the surface waves which come from the surface of a finite size of two-dimensional phononic crystal of right triangle arrangement and regular trianglearrangement, we can get the collimation beams and make them to gather the most of theenergy for transmission in one direction. The method is that using the two kinds ofarrangement of finite phononic crystal samples to make waveguide and doing a structurelayer in the upper surface of the waveguide or we can also directly do a structure layer inthe upper surface of the two kinds of samples, so that we can use the structure layers tomodulate the surface waves and make them to be radiation states from non-radiationstates and to be collimation beams which interfere with one another in free space.At last, we use surface waves in two-dimensional phononic crystal of squarearrangement of steel cylinder in the air to do abnormal transmission. We do each a structure layer on the top and bottom surface of the phononic crystal sample of squarearrangement. Similar to the collimation beam, we make the structure layers and surfacewaves coupling so that the surface mode can be motivated and form the transmissionenhancement phenomena.
