Abstract


With the improvement of technology and production, various of new products emerge endlessly. All those products even exceeds the demand and the competition between similar products is becoming more and more fierce. Now all the merchants desperately pursue the answer of how to make the products stand out and be attractive to consumers Today we advocate the concept of "kansei", according to the perceptual demand of users improving the perception value of products is the key to win the consumer market.In this thesis, we choose the Chinese market as the background and focus on the new generation group which has unique personality and likes perceptual consumption. Now they are growing as the main force of Chinese consumer. Meanwhile the fashion jewelry industry is an emerging industry, which attracts great attention from the new generation. So,research on this field is very representative.In this thesis, we apply the perceptual evaluation methods which based on kansei engineering to design the fashion jewelry that is appropriate for the China’s new generation group. So that we can summarize the perceptual evaluation system which can be used to increase the perceptual value of products. The conclusion and the research methods of this thesis not only has a guiding role for fashion jewelry design, but also can be taken as reference to other researches.In this thesis,we take the necklace as an example and use the semantic difference method to explore the connection between kansei and fashion jewelry design. The research has three stages of experiments to explore different aspects of product respectively, including the sculpt, the color and the material.We try to figure out the different perceptual image of design elements from every aspect. So that we can interpret and analyze the perceptual demand of the new generation for fashion jewelry in depth. Through research and data analysis, we summarize the perceptual evaluation system of the three aspects and draw a general design concept. Based on all the results of this research, we carried on the design practice which also was perceptually evaluated.So as to verify the feasibility and the effectiveness of the research methods and results.
