Abstract


With the deepening of China’s reform and the economy stable and rapid growth, the construction of high-speed railway is not only to meet the needs of social development, but also an effective measure to improve rail capacity, increasing communicating between different regions and cities, and significantly reducing passenger’s travel time while providing high quality transportation products and service levels. High-speed railway station is the primary node of urban roads and high-speed rail, whether the scale of station house is appropriate will affect passenger’s activities, meanwhile has a certain impact on investment budget of the railway sector. Though the building speed of China’s high-speed railway station is so rapid and the scale is so large, more accompanying theoretical studies are to be done.Firstly, business characters of high-speed railway station are analyzed. The specificity of the passenger business is the major characters of high-speed railway station. Passenger lines both in and out the station more clear and convenient, and ticketing and information guide system more perfect, and function as a transportation hub station even more obvious, emphasizing the "people-oriented" design concept in every way.Secondly, the factors that affect the scale of the high-speed railway station house, including passenger’s travel characteristics, train operation organization, the spatial relationship between the house and yard, urban traffic situation and developing trend and ticketing mode, are studied for detail. By analyzing and studying the forecast methods on the number of peak hour, a new predicting model based on flow characteristics and probability and statistics methods is proposed.Then, in line with balancing optimization of station’s function and reducing the cost of investment, more specific researches on appropriate scale of concourse, waiting room and ticketing room are carried out by investigating flow characteristics and using queuing theory and mathematical statistics methods to establish a scientific mathematical model to find out the appropriate scale and the number of devices of each component part.At last, Changsha South Railway Station is taken as an example to analyze and verify the feasibility and reasonableness of the constructed theories and related models.
