Abstract


Railway container transportation is an important sign of modernization of railway freight. Compared with other developed countries, China railway container transportation is still at a lower level. With an excessive amount of small-sized poorly-equipped railway container yard, efficiency can not be achieved due to relatively slow turnovers, which does not meet the requirements of the development of container transportation and modern logistics industry. In recent years, with the rapid development of China economy, demand of container transportation is rocketing. As an important constituent of the container transportation system, the railway container transportation is badly in need of fast improvement to adapt to the era development.In this thesis I mainly studied the following topics after closely considered the features of the railway container yard and the requirements of transportation and operation in China.1. The present situation of China railway container transportation industry and the corresponding information system construction were studied in this paper. In view of the present various problems and difficulties in railway container transportation, I further analyzed some similar domestic and foreign stations and quays, and discussed the feasibility of information construction.2. The core business of China railway container transportation was also studied. I focused on the issues of sending, arriving, highway allocation; and new container investments, with the purpose of combining it with information systems, to improve the information level.3. The software architecture of the railway container yard management system was considered. Some subsystems were made according to their respective servicing roles, they were business management BMS, yard management CMS, door examination management GMS, and handling management LWS, and has carried on the comparative analysis to the system various subsystems, obtains the system the core is the airfield management, but this foundation is the container condition change and the migration.
