Abstract


ABSTRACT:Line planning is the key plan of railway transportation organization, and generation of Potential Line Set (PLS) plays an important role in the optimization procedure technique of line planning introducing the theory of the PLS. The whole railway network is characterized by "rapid networking, different operating conditions of each line, large scale, complicated network structure" etc. Under such conditions, each different line requires different Transportation Operation Mode (TOM), which makes the PLS varied. The paper makes researches on the design and evaluation method of PLS under different transportation operation modes. The main results are as follows:(1) Definition of the TOM of High-Speed Railway, including train’s speed grade, cross line train organization, passenger transfer organization, periodic train organization as well as the night train organization. Then, the integrated presentation is approached based on a detailed analysis about factors and content of TOM.(2) Definition of the seven basic elements for the PLS, including train OD, train route, speed grade, train marshalling, train frequency, train recommended level, train stop schedule. Then presentation of PLS is designed. Besides, the general generation procedure of PLS is produced based on analyses of the relationship between the TOM and PLS.(3) Design of the depth first algorithm of train route on node level and station level. Researches on the calculation method for train OD, speed grade, train frequency, train marshalling and train recommended level have been conducted. The operable generation technology and evaluation index system of PLS is proposed in the end.(4) Design of the generation procedure and evaluation system for PLS under the circumstances of different operation modes. The system is developed using C#.net, which can realize the selection of basic railway network, and setting parameters of the TOM in the form of human-computer interaction. Accordingly, related functions can be implemented such as:search of train route, search of travel plan and calculation of matching utility of trains and passengers. Finally, in the context of Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed railway and its associated network, the generation results of the PLS prove reasonable, which return to verify the operability of the proposed generating method in the paper.
