Objective: By observing serum levels of hs-CRP and HCY of patients with advancedperiodontitis and cerebral ischemic stroke,to discuss the relationship and mutualinfluence of advanced periodontitis and cerebral ischemic stroke. Methods:Healthy people of clinic patients of stomatology department and thepatients in stable condition hospitalized in neurology department in people’s hospital ofLiaoning province from April2012to January2013is observation object. All personwere completing with the informed consent, truthfully completing with thequestionnaires.200subjects were included in this study. To divide them into four groups: Amongthem,50were patients with advanced periodontists (group A),50were patients withcerebral ischemic stroke (group B),50were patients with cerebral ischemic stroke andadvanced periodontists (group C) and50were healthy volunteers of periodontists.(group D).Including the questionnaire survey to all detailed records, enrolled in age, sex, smoking, drinking alcohol, etc. According to "periodontics" of fourth edition relatedperiodontal inspection and evaluation criterion, which recorded the periodontalconditions of each teeth in all tested people and completed all operations by the sameprofessional doctor and photographed panoramic oral radiogram.Periodontalexamination:check plaque index(PLI), bleeding on probing (BOP),probing depth(PD),clinical attachment loss (CAL) of six teeth (16,11,26,31,36,46).To collect venousblood and serum samples, examining serum of hs-CRP levels by the method ofnephelometry and examining serum of HCY levels by the method of chemiluminescentimmunoassay.Use SPSS11.3software package to make a statistical analysis of the datacollected.Measurement data with x±s said.T-test was used to explore the genderdifferences in clinical variables of patients and chi-square test to analyze the frequencies between groups. The dental plaque index compares with chi-square Test.One-wayanalysis of variance was used to analyze each group level.Inspection level for alpha=0.05.Results: There were no significant differences between four groups in sex ratio,age,smoking,alcohol(P>0.05).There were no significant differences in PD,AL,BOP in Aand C group(P>0.05).PLI of the group A、B and C are higher than that of the group D. There weresignificant differences between four groups.(P<0.05).Hs-CRP levels of the group A,B and C are higher than that of the group D. Therewere significant differences between four groups.(P<0.05).Hs-CRP levels of the groupC are higher than that of the group A and B.There were significant differences in threegroups(P<0.05).There were no significant differences between group A and group B inhs-CRP.(P>0.05)HCY levels of the group A,B and C are higher than that of the group D. There weresignificant differences between four groups.(P<0.05).HCY levels of the group C arehigher than that of the group A and B.There were significant differences in the threegroups.(P<0.05).There were no significant differences between group A and group B inHCY.(P>0.05)Conclusion:If the study of natural conditions were basically the same, the patients ofischemic stroke have a higher plaque index evaluation than periodontal healthy peoplegroup.Hs-CRP and HCY might be closely related with the pathogenesis of cerebral ischemicstroke and advanced periodontists. There were some correlations between advancedperiodontists and cerebral ischemic.Hs-CRP and HCY levels in clinical trials can be used as an important reference inadvanced periodontitis and cerebral ischemic.
