Abstract


Rural vocational education is of great significance to the long-term development ofeconomy and society in rural areas, and plays an important role in solving "Three Rural" issuesand the reform for overall urban and rural development. In this research, the rural vocationaleducation in northeast Guangdong was selected as research object to be investigated. And viainvestigation, the present situation of the rural vocational education in northeast Guangdongwas outlined.In this article, literature consultation, survey method, case analysis were mainly adopted,and the thought of "raise problems-analyze problems-solve problems" was followed to conductthe study. Through the questionnaire survey, it was found that the existing problems in thedevelopment of rural vocational education in northeast Guangdong were mainly as follows:shortage of education funds, the lack of students and low quality of students, low educationlevel of teachers, professional construction lagged behind economic and social development,etc. The basic reasons for the above problems were that, the influences of macro environment,such as the traditional theory on school management was backward, education policy wasdivorced from reality, source of school-running resource was limited, and urban-rural dualeconomic structure; as well as limitations of existing problems in school, including wrongspecialty construction policy, low qualification of teachers and serious shortage of financialinvestment, etc.Through in-depth analysis, the advices beneficial to reverse the adverse situations ofcurrent rural vocational education in northeast Guangdong were proposed in this paper: changeworking thought, re-understand the realistic significance of the rural vocational education;strengthen government support, increase fiscal spending; the government should work closelywith schools and make recruitment plan; cultivate the existing teachers for vocational educationto improve their quality of teaching; highlight the professional characteristics and improve thelevel of specialty construction; set up professional education guidance and increase graduatesemployment rate. By implementing the above measures to improve the school-running leveland quality of rural vocational education in northeast Guangdong continuously.
