Abstract


As a solution of indoor broadband access, visible light communication has obvious advantages comparing with RF and infrared communication. Firstly, it has a high bandwidth,and the speed of visible light communication can be tens of megabytes even to hundreds of megabytes per second. Secondly, you can directly use LED lighting as the optical transmitter, and we don’t need to cost much for it,what’s more it does not cause radiation damage to the human body. Therefore,visible light communication technology attracted national attention one after another, such as Japan, Europe, USA and China.This paper analyzes the basic characteristics of visible light communication, the basic structure and application scenario,and compares the difference between traditional RF MIMO communication and visible light MIMO communication.Then it analyzes the indoor MIMO channel’s characteristics,and introduces the results into Simulink communication system.The main contents of this paper include:Using ordinary indoor scene as typical application of target to analyze multipath channel’s characteristics of SISO、2×2MIMO and4x4MIMO communication system; analyze the4x4MIMO channel’s characteristics which select rectangle and linear arrangement for transmitter; establish Simulink system model for simulation,and use the model to study the performance of SISO、2×2MIMO and4x4MIMO system which introduce the multipath channel,obtain their BER curves;analyze the SNR and BER’s relationship of4×4MIMO system with three deferent methods:zero forcing equalizer, maximum likelihood equalizer, maximum likelihood equalizer+backward feedback.
