Abstract


The research on target and electromagnetic environment simulator for AESA radar is aimed to develop a general target and electromagnetic environment simulation equipment. It can fulfill many types of AESA’s demands of development, production, debug and maintenance. The simulator integrates target simulation, clutter simulation and jamming simulation. It is used to estimate the radar function of the probability to find the target in search, single-target tracking or multi-target tracking mode, in the complicated electronic and magnetic surrounding. It is fit for many kinds of signal simulation demands of the different types of radar working in X band. So it provides the advanced simulation and testing method for the AESA radar.The thesis summarizes the important meaning of the target and environment simulation research and the technology developing state in this field both in our country and aboard. It introduces the simulation principle of the target, clutter and jamming signal for AESA radar in details. The emphasis is on the deeper research of the DDS technology, the DRFM technology and the digital clutter generator technology.When the target and environment simulator for AESA is in practice, the amount of the work in debugging and verifying which should be progressing during the field test fly can be transferred to the laboratory inside the field. It can save the radar test cost, and shorten the development time of the AESA radar.
