Abstract


The major way of inputting Chinese characters into computer is and will be the Chinese encoding input method for a long time. It is very important to set up a scientific appraising system for input method not only for justicial evaluation, but also for bringing out perfect Chinese charater input products. This paper first introduces the reality and the trend of the Chinese character input method, explains the standard or criterion associated with Chinese charater input scheme. Also it promotes the design goal and narrates the composing of the evaluating system. Then it describes the design and realization of the static and dynamic evaluating system of the Chinese input methods based on the code chart in detail respectively. Finally it introduces how to obtain the code chart based on the rule library. The evaluating system of the input method can be a universal evaluating platform for general input methods. Using this platform we can design code scheme and dicuss the criterions more effectively. This evaluating system is very useful for the designer of Chinese character input system and it is significant for establishment of a scientific appraising system.
