In recent years, with the continuously increasing of energy demand in market economy for coal, the coal industry started to recover, and coal processing industry also has been in rapid development. Improving the automation level of coal processing machinery has very important application value for the quality of coal processing and production efficiency.Wet coal dryer as a major coal processing machinery mainly used for drying the wet coal. The dryer temperature is difficult to control, which brings design challenges to its control system. In this paper, based on the system design background of the production of Tangshan Shenzhou Machinery wet coal dryer control system, in accordance with the control system, we design a set of wet coal dryer control system based on the fuzzy PID control system.This article first analyzed and discussed wet coal drying process control, focusing on analysis of a few factors which impact the drying temperature of wet coal, so we summed up the temperature control characteristics of wet coal drying; on the basis of that, we bring forward the wet coal dryers temperature control program-hybrid fuzzy PID control; we design a fuzzy PID controller using the fuzzy control theory and using MATLAB fuzzy control toolbox, we set the fuzzy control query table of the temperature control, and through the analysis of system simulation, we verified the effectiveness of the fuzzy PID control in the wet coal dryer temperature control; Finally, the applying the PLC control systems,we give the overall design of wet coal dryer control system.After debugging, the control system meets the expected control requirements and is working well. After analyzing the real-time trends of the dryer temperature monitored by the HMI interface, we further confirmed that further the fuzzy PID control can solved the problems of wet coal dryer temperature control system, which gives a certain guidance value for the future design of the wet coal dryer control system.
