In recent years, Intelligent Transportation Technology (ITS) developed rapidly.ITS involving wide range of areas, with huge market capacity, and this emergingindustry has become one of the world’s largest industry, and the future world will havea profound impact. The technique of collecting Traffic Sign quickly is one of the basictechniques of ITS.In this issue, we gain and update facilities along the road rapidly through the fastmoving vehicles in close-range shot three-dimensional image data processing,extracting of road transport data. Detailed descriptions are as follows:Firstly, we modified the Mobile Mapping System for the special requirements oftransport facilities acquisition. Mobile Mapping System includes a combination ofGPS and IMU attitude determination system positioning, CCD camera imageacquisition system, computer and control system. To obtain better imaging and datacapacity, we adjusted the direction of the CCD camera shooting and shootingintervals.Secondly, we established a spatial database system of transport facilities byanalyzing facilities along the highway.Thirdly, we developed a traffic sign database rapidly with the traffic signsrecognition algorithms.Finally, we Designed and developed a rapidly collection information system oftransport facilities based on the Mobile Mapping System.
