Abstract


Gulf War has brought humans into the age of information warfare. In modern large-scale war,if the communication devices do not have necessary anti-jamming capability to resist electromagnetic interference and electronic countermeasure, it will bring great inconvenience tocommunications command in wartime, even catastrophic consequences. In this background,frequency-hopping communications technology emerged as the times requires. Due to its goodresistance to fading, interference and multiple access networking capability, frequency-hoppingcommunication have become one of the main ways for military radio to resistance jamming, itprovides a powerful help for the protection of military communications reliability. As ananti-jamming mechanism for communication, frequency-hopping system is widely used in militarycommunications, and a variety of specialized jamming have emerged, posed a severe challenge tothe anti-jamming capability of this system. Therefore, do an in-depth research and analysis for theanti-jamming performance of frequency-hopping communication system becomes more and moreimportant.Under the background of the Project "****System" Phase II, this paper studies the ability ofhigh-speed frequency-hopping system to resist various typical jamming through the way ofcombining theoretical analysis and simulation software. Firstly, the basic theoretical knowledge offrequency-hopping communication is analysed deeply in the paper, and some key technologies inthis system including frequency-hopping pattern, frequency synthesizer and synchronizationtechnology are introduced at the same time. Next, this thesis analyzes some parameters which areclosely related with the anti-jamming performance of frequency-hopping system. After that, itestablishes a whole designing solution about high-speed frequency-hopping communication system,and builds a modular modeling and simulation for the system in Matlab/Simulink platform. Thesemodules include Source Generator module, Hopping Frequency Synthesizer, BFSK/BPSKModulation and Demodulation module and Bit Error Rate Statistics module ect. This thesiscompletes the system by integrateing these modules, and validates the correctness of this system bycomparing the simulated result.Then, several typical types of jamming which frequency hopping system encountered regularlyare analysed emphatically and deeply, including: broadband noise jamming, partial band noisejamming, multi-frequency continuous wave jamming and track jamming, and the performance offrequency-hopping communication system in different jamming are studied in theroy. According to the theoretical analysis, the simulation models corresponding to each type of jamming are builded.Moreover, adds each of the jamming to the high-speed frequency-hopping communication systemto simulate and verify the effects, and gets the system’s BER curves by modifying parameters.Analyse the anti-jamming ability of frequency-hopping communication system by using thesecurves. Finally, this thesis concludes and proposes some effective methods for frequency-hoppingsystem to deal with different jamming, such as: idle channel search technology, adaptivefrequency-hopping technology and frequency-hopping network, providing some help for thedevelopment and construction of frequency-hopping system.
