Abstract

The scarcity of oil resources and the necessity of protection environmental have been promoting the research and development of new energy vehicles. New energy vehicles using electricity or other alternative fuels from biomass can significantly reduce energy consumption and pollutant emissions. The running data collection and analysis of Kunming new energy vehicles will be the demonstration for decision making, but also provide accurate and reliable data support for applying and improving the new energy vehicles productions. The research of hybrid vehicles performance Under different atmospheric pressure is the unique characteristics of Kunming, will provide valuable experience for the future promotion of new energy vehicles on plateau region, while it is important to the new energy vehicles industry.Constructed a running information management and monitoring system for the new energy vehicles demonstration of Kunming with communications, computer network, GPS, GIS, data analysis and many other technologies, the system could profit real-time remote monitoring, fault analysis and vehicle operation diagnosis, rapid rescue vehicle, traffic information dissemination, real-time vehicle data acquisition/recording, statistical analysis of vehicle operations and many other features for new energy vehicles, and made an analysis for part of hybrid electric bus running data collected by the system. View of 12-meter hybrid city bus, performance comparison tests with same driving cycle and the approximate running condition have been done respectively in plateau and plain areas, comparing fuel economy of tested bus with various operating conditions, and energy transformation during test was also analyzed. The results show that plateau low pressure environment cause falling of the buses’power, and has an obvious impact on fuel economy, fuel consumption per cycle in plateaus increases 5.62% on average when compared with that in plains in the driving cycle test, and the average fuel consumption of 100km increases about 6% compared with in plains in the approximate running condition test; fuel consumption per cycle has obvious inverse ratio relationship with motor boost energy, and was influenced slightly by starting way in the driving cycle test; Breaking recovered energy and motor boost energy are independent on environmental diversity, variation tendency of breaking recovered energy and motor boost energy in plateau and plain areas is observed to be basically consistent. Fluctuations of motor boost energy are primarily related to the initial SOC value of batteries. Research the effective factors of recycled brake energy and optimize driver’s operating habit could increase the recycled brake energy effectively.
