Based on the requirements of a large Intelligent Community of remote video monitoring system , the implementation of the remote monitoring system based on embedded technology . System to embedded operating system Linux and embedded microprocessor S3C2410 as the core platform , through embedded S3C2410 platforms established the Wi-Fi wireless network - based remote monitoring system , the USB camera capture image data compression , wireless networks , complete network video surveillance task of monitoring the scene . Based on the monitoring of Wi-Fi makes traditional monitoring methods to digital, networked, intelligent development . This paper introduces the background of embedded remote monitoring system as well as domestic and foreign situation , then introduces the ARM processor and embedded Linux development , design and implement the remote monitoring system based on Samsung S3C2410 chip and embedded real-time operating system , including system hardware board design , the Linux operating system kernel compile and transplantation , introduced the start of the Bootloader principle and running , and the development of the Linux operating system USB driver, the driver of the camera , and Wi-Fi driver were studied. This article focuses on the Design and Implementation of image acquisition and network communication program , the last test of the system as a whole , and further development envisaged . The system can meet the need for remote device control , the results of this study has practical significance of a larger project , has a certain reference value for a variety of video communications applications based on Wi-Fi technology .
