Abstract


Every effort has been made to organize meeting in a clear and practical manner and wireless meeting accompanied by skills of mobile multimedia application and wireless network services as prospective solution to this issue.Wireless meeting performs more attractively than conventional one in that it frees people from fixed addressing location and offers profound mobility in meeting activities. The meeting system consists of server part and client part. Server part is responsible for the transferring of audio data and controlling of clients behavior. Client part enables users to join in meetings through wireless equipments. Without any doubt server stands as the central part within the meeting,it’s the client part,however,that conducts the meeting in a mobile way directly.In the first part of the paper we want to present the architecture of wireless meeting system and applied skills based on practical requirements .Secondly key technologies applied for both aspects are discussed respectively,including IEEE802.11 protocol,MFC programming,EVC development,audio data compressing and DirectSound application. Finally a real process of construction of wireless meeting system is described,which involves hardware framework and software scheme needed to be taken into account.This paper integrates substantial concepts and their applications to fulfill the implementation of wireless meeting system. The results of system are in good agreement with expectation and shows the possibilities that wireless meeting tend to be solution to holding a meeting more effectively.
