Abstract


There is a proverb says that “God created the village, mankind has created cities.” in European.The development of city is one of most important features in the process of urbanization in the modernworld. Along with expanding of the size and geographical scope of major cities, there is a similarphenomenon of metropolitan area as the Western countries. Of course, as the differences of the cultural,historical, political and economic structure, there is quite a big difference between China and developedcountries in the development process, geographical and socio-economic structure of China’s large cities.Since the lack of the basis theoretical research and the case studies accumulated insufficient which causeus learn the evolution of urban region system in modern cities superficially, also made some errors andbias in the development of large cities. Against this background, this article chooses the city of Qiqiharwhich is deputy provincial center city in the Northeast Region as the typical example to study, exertstheory and methods in urban geography and the relevant disciplines, through inspection of space-gatheredprocess of elements of the urban population, industry, land use and so on to analyze developmentcharacteristics of urban region system in Qiqihar, to summarize laws of its evolution, providing a basisfor researching the modern urban issues and studying new scientific theoretical research methods.The paper concludes four parts:The 1st part is the introduction to discuss the basic concepts and basic theories. First, summarizingthe types and characteristics of the urban region and urban region system, summarizing the relevanttheoretical urban region system, Finally discussing the basic content of daily life range and the basicstructure of the urban region system under the perspective of daily life range.The 2nd part is to describe the historical trajectory and basic features of the development of urbanregion system in Qiqihar, choosing Tsing Dynasty period, grew rule period, he planned economy period,the reform and opening up period as spots.The 3rd part is to reconstruct urban region system of Qiqihar under the perspective of daily life range.The text introduces methods of daily life range of urban region system, reconstructing urban regionsystem of Qiqihar by an integrated analysis in the relevant theoretical guidance.The 4th part is the process of analysis and development mechanism studies. The author analyzed theregional impact to Qiqihar urban functions, conglomerating and diffusion of urban elements and the spaceprocess in the formation of urban region, studying spatial layout and dynamics process about industry andpopulation, analyzing the evolution tendency of urban region system in Qiqihar.
