Abstract


Engineering machinery industry is one of the fastest growing industries of China’s machinery manufacturing industry.The industry must maintain a strong international competitiveness of industry to face the influence of financial crisis.This paper analysis the factors that influencing the international competitiveness of industries with the general theory to the spacial.Firstly, in the paper I analysis the current background of China construction machinery industry and sum up the theory of the international competitiveness of industry.I proposed the new statistical indicators named industry profits index which measures international industrial competitiveness . Industry profits index is used to reflect a country’s international competitiveness of industries. In order to analyze the impact of the external environment which influencing the international competitiveness of industries, the factors have been divided into internal factors and external factors innovatively.Secondly, this paper establish econometric models of Chinese construction machinery industry to do the empirical analysis of international competitiveness .The empirical analysis proves : the international competitiveness of China construction machinery industry has been increasing for these years. Per capita income is the determinant factor of international competitivenessof China’s construction machinery industry; Industry concentration and industry size has an important influence on the international competitiveness of industry ;Strong current domestic investment in infrastructure provides an important support to China construction machineryindustry.Finally, this paper summarizes from the production factors, demand factors, related support industries, enterprise competition strategy, the government and opportunities. Though the financial crisis have a large impact on construction machinery industry of China , Seizing the opportunity ,construction machinery industry will strengthen the international competitiveness in future .
