With the competition of the global market, all the corporations are confronted with unprecedented pressure. In order to survive and grow, they have to shorten the time of exploitation, decrease the cost and produce more products with better quality. Therefore, the technology of communication and virtual design will be attached more importance. To what extent that the designer can make use of communication technology is determined by the deepness of the technology. The appraisal standard of the design quality will surely be altered by the dissemination of virtual product exploitation. The drawings to which we paid more attention before will lose their significance in the virtual models with third dimension and alternation. The appraisal standard will pay more attention to the key problems of design: the innovation of products, beauty and science.Therefore, the emphases under discussion in this thesis are the study of the roles which virtual design plays in industrial design and the combination of appraisal standards of industrial design and virtual design. The virtual design flat of industrial design is tried to be built based on the study of software flats in existence. In this flat, the whole virtual design flow from the melody to sell of products is strived to realize and provide more convenience for people. In the appraisal tache of products, the main value method is designed based on the appraisal standards. Utilizing the wrl files, the value of products can be realized in advance and the whole evaluation of products will be got.The beauty standards of industrial design products are used for reference by the judge standards in this thesis. It is composed of three main parts: the sculpt law of products, the color effect of products and the effect of human-machine engineering. Furthermore, every part is composed by some items. The fuzzy theory provides us with an available tool which can make full use of the language and data information. The learning arithmetic of fuzzy logical systemprovides the coefficient of judge standards with theory foundation. Compared with the requirement of high cost and complex hardware of virtual reality technology, the flat of the virtual industrial design in this thesis need not recur to special hardware. Furthermore, its cost is low. It can be used in many virtual exhibitions and can be transmitted conveniently through internet. Eventually, in this thesis, one model is built with the use of virtual reality modeling language in this flat and its appraisal process is demonstrated.
