As the rapid development of the information technology, more and more multi-purpose and complex IT projects have come out. For one thing,these projects need longer time to develop, more advanced technique,more investment,and highly complexity,so project risk management is difficult.For another,IT application is a complex project involving many aspects including enterprise of business,technology,project management,etc.. As for the project control method and system development method,they have firm conformation,however,because of the complexity of the real world,environmental change and particularity of IT projects,risk and change are ubiquitous in IT project. For these reasons,this paper explores the risk management for IT project research direction,and discusses how to systematically proceed effective IT project risk management.This article describes the research background of the topic,significance,status and the main innovation of this paper; set of project management and project risk management concepts and relations between them and project risk management process; analysis of IT project management and IT project risk management, IT project risk and the implementation of the source of the significance of IT project risk management; on how to conduct effective risk management in IT projects conducted in-depth research, and discusses the IT project risk management, pre-control,something in control and after control of control; by××company, IT project risk management case study to verify the above findings, and discusses the practice of project risk management and control of specific measures and methods; the last on the risk of IT project management studies were summarized and perspective of the content of this article possible applications and gives further research directions.
