Objective: With the development of small-incision phacoemulsification and foldable intraocular lenses implantation , more and more cataract patients have received such operation, including high myopia. Because of vitreous chamber elongation high myopia have some other complications such as: scleral staphyloma, vitreous degeneration, zonular weakness. Therefore, cataract surgery of high myopia was considered to have more risks of retinal detachment, glaucoma postoperatively. Now small-incision cataract surgery have made it safer for high myopia. In this study, Ultrasound biomicroscopy is used to quantitatively measure ACD,AOD500, AA, TCPD, ICPD before and after surgery. By comparing the changes, this study tries to explore the advantages of small-incision phacoemulsification and foldable IOL implantation for high myopia.Methods: Small-incision phacoemulsification and foldable IOL implantation were performed in 60 eyes of 60 patients, which was divided into two groups. Group 1 included 30 eyes of 30 senile cataract patients without other eye diseases. Group 2 included 30 eyes of 30 senile high myopic cataract patients whose axial length were between 26mm30mm.
