Abstract

The grapevine is one of the most important fruit plants largely cultivated in the world, with its ancient history dating back to several thousands years ago. Currently thousands of grape cultivars make ttheir identification very difficult, thereby it is essential to build up an all-purpose method in identifying grape cultivars quickly and validly.Grape leaf is main nutrient source of the berry growth. Moreover, it affects fruit and wine qualities. The leaf area is directely related to photosynthesis, in return effecting berry’s yield and quality. In the same time, grape leaf area can determine the viticulture mode, taining and pruning, as well as fertilization and spraying process in vineyard Therefore the quilk measuring method concerned with the grape leaf area also is necessary to be based on the detail research. The table grape cultivars have been broadly cultivated in China as one of the most important fruit industries. Numerous grapevine cultivars and various denominate means made the grapevine cultivars much more confused.. This thesis intends to identify 21 cultivars by means of grape foliar phenotypic characters and regressive analysis of the ampelographic parameters. The results could show as the followings:I .Verification of the accurate degree of foliar area-simulating measurement, 80 leaves from 8 grape cultivars are identified by leaf area-simulating measurement and other high- precision method respectively. The result shows that it is feasible to measure accurately and steadily the foliar area except ’Italian Riesling’ and ’Pinot Noir’.II .Through the ANOVA analysis and the Discriminant analysis, it can be ensured that the new foliar morphological parameters of the ratio of area and perimeter can be used to fairly identify the 21 cultivars. Galet’s ampelographic method, discriminate analysis were also adopted to identify and descride the 21 grape cultivars. Foliar structural ampelometry in the trial has revealed that the 8 leaf morphological parameters contribute variously to the cultivar determination, particularly with foliar sinus ratio: small vein angle (σ ), big vein angle (ξ), and the ratio of area and perimeter (R).III.Reseaches on the relationship of leaf area and perimeter with the six foliar morphological
