Considering Phoenix Company tool shop as research background, the thesis studies the mould manufacturing process of planning and management issues, the resources constraints circumstances, how effective the arrangement is designed, processing, the sample, and thus shortening the cycle, reduce costs and enhance efficiency and competitiveness.Production in mould enterprises is a typical make-to-order and one-of-a-kind of production. The production has variety, quantity not large, the process more complex, production management is the difficulty. The manufacture procedure of mould is hard to be controlled because the customers’ order is stochastic and the manufacturing process is not stable, and thus management problems, such as delay of moulds’ delivery time and inferior quality of moulds frequently occurs. So it’s necessary to adopt an efficient production planning method and management system. In order to shorten the cycle time, enhance the quality. This paper studies the management of production of mould, especially the production planning and management of the existing problems, combine the actual, researching integrated management method based on network planning and theory of constraint. The network planning technology and theory of constraints in respect of solving bottleneck are analyzed. And the integrated planning and control method using network planning and TOC is discussed. Meanwhile, for the production scheme, the network plan compilation, critical path identification, resource allocation, bottleneck resource spotting, and priority setting in the integration of network planning and theory of constraints are researched. The implementation of the planning and control system is in described with an case.
