Abstract


Cleaner production is a summary that comes from the work of thirty-year’s environmental protection home and abroad. To promote cleaner production is an effective method for our country to deepen the work of pollution prevention and implement sustainable development strategy. It is also an inevitable choice for all the enterprises in the circumstance of market economy. Hotel provides comfortable environment for the guests based on substantial consumption of resources. The inevitable trend of the development of hospitality industry is to implement hotel cleaner production and take a road of sustainable development.In order to provide constructive and feasible suggestions to implement hotel cleaner production, build ’green hotel’ and strengthen environmental protection and management, this article analyzes the status quo of hotel cleaner production home and abroad and formulates concrete and workable action package for hotel cleaner production. The formulation of the action package is in accordance with the fundamental principles of hotel cleaner production. The research results are as follows:(1) In accordance with hotel cleaner production’s theories, practice and background home and abroad, the article addresses hotel environment problem in traditional management system and analyzes the necessity of implementing hotel cleaner production.(2) Based on the explication of definition, content and fundamental principles of hotel cleaner production, the article analyzes the relationship between the theory of hotel cleaner production and the theories of sustainable development, hotel life cycle, ’green hotel’, ISO14001 environment management system.(3) The article compares and analyzes the contradiction between star-rated hotel’s evaluation standards and green hotel’s. And it takes examples of disposable goods’ consumption, energy resources’ consumption, like water, safety of decorative materials for building’s internal and external use and waste management, and then it proposes related solution. The article from three dimensions analyzes and recognizes these contradictions that have become the obstacle of implementation of hotel cleaner
