Abstract


As a special eco-system, the city plays a significant role in promoting the various aspects of human economic and social systems. At the same time, it caused many serious environmental problems. With the rapid development of urbanization among the world nations, global warming is an increasing concern. Air temperature is one of the most important identification parameter of climate change, which changes exert an important influence on all kinds of aspects of the production and life of mankind and the natural eco-environment.This thesis deals with the study of observation data from the meteorological office in Lishi district and the basic data on the total industrial output value, population and etc. in its statistical yearbook. The observation data is about the annual average temperature, average temperature in January and July, and extremes of heat and cold from 1960 to 2009. The author follows the linear analysis, correlation analysis and other statistical approach to analyses the temperature trends, urbanization and the correlation between the two in the last 50 years. Further exploration is made on the possible causes for such changes, which aims to provide the scientific basis for the future climate predictions, improving the ecological environment and region sustainable development. The main research contents and conclusions are described in the following aspects:1. From 1960 to 2009, the average temperature, average temperature in January and July, and annual extremes of heat and cold in Lishi district are increasing year by year in overall climate. Among them, the annual average temperature, average temperature in January and July, extreme of heat increase obviously during the 1990s, while the extreme of cold increases obviously in the early 21st century. It shows that a growing trend of warm winter effects has emerged recently in Lishi district.2. The average annual temperature jump in Lishi district appeared in 1997, and its annual average temperature increased by 2.0℃around the climacteric. The July average temperature jump appeared chronologically in the early 1990s (1993), and January average temperature is slightly later than the July average temperature which appeared in 1996. This reinforced the view that there is a tendency toward warm winter in Lishi district. Besides, a striking high temperature value appeared in 2005, which appeared two years earlier than the national average.3. Over the past 50 years, Lishi district’s urbanization maintained the linear upward trend, especially in the 21st century. Compared with the rapid spread of urbanization, the industrial output value increased at a lesser and later extent, which developed rapidly until 2004.4. With the acceleration of the process of urbanization in recent years, the city’s air temperature warming rate increased year by year. There is a significant positive correlation between the urbanization and the changes of annual average temperature. Until 2009, this district’s total population has reached 27.4 million; total industrial output value has increased to 4,807,050,000 Yuan. In the process of urbanization, its meteorological environment is affected, such as the enhanced greenhouse effect, heat island effect significant change. Accelerated urbanization and the increasing of total industrial output value exert a significantly influence on the local air temperature. And with the urbanization further develop in this district; its air temperature value will further increase.
