Mergence of universities and colleges is an important measure of positioning adjustment of higher schools and.the great reforms in higher education management system . When several universities which have different characteristics are incorporated into a new one,the different objective orientation,the different regulation,the different culture make the incorporated university face with many new problems in the interior management system. Suzhou University is a key university which belongs to Jiangsu province, three mergences were carried out in 1995,1997,2000.During the process of the three mergences,Five Unifications were persevered in.Driven by government, the mergences have been achived substantiality.in teaching and scientific research, great achievement has been made.By the case study of Suzhou University,the author disscuss the organization behaviours and rules in the mergence of universities and colleges from the perspectives of strategy,process and stage,resistence,impulse of exterior,and give some suggestions.
