As the most common sulphide in the Earth’s crust, pyrite is significant to the geological environment and conditions for mineralization. It is a main mineral raw materials of distilling sulfur and manufacturing vitriol and is one of the most important golden carrier-mineral for pryrite has been being the most important study object in the field of mineralogy. In recent years, the application study of the relation between its form and formation, chemical composition, thermoelectricity, wiping off metal ions from wastewater, environmental evaluation and management, solar battery materials have got many progress. The systematic study of FeS2 growth mechanism can realize the crystal growth regulation of FeS2, which is significant to geological conditions determination and forming mine mechanism study in theory and sifnificant to development and use in practical applicationsAccording to the natural pyrite formation mechanism and simulation of natural pyrite formation conditions and the basic process. Pyrite crystal and symbiotic production of pyrrhotite, marcasite, magnetite and Sg crystal whiskers are getted through the sulfuration and hydrothermal chemical programmes by useing a vacuum-tube-type heaters and other laboratory equipments under 250℃-410℃.The morphology of experimental products, the ratio of chemical elements, and structural characteristics of the phase are tested by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction of single crystal analysis, X-ray diffraction of powder analysis, infrared ray action spectrum and other means. It was analysed and discussed that of the impact of temperature, time, reactive substances on crystal growth of FeS2, transforming conditions of pyrite and marcasite, the coexistence of pyrrhotite and pyrite, and the impact of redox reactions and the sources of sulfur and iron on crystal growth of FeS2. The growth of crystal FeS2 was discussed through crystal growth theory and the combination of experimental conditions and product characteristics. That temperature of marcasite transforming into pyrite and pyrrhotite disappearing can be used as a geological thermometer which has determinate value in the geological conditions. The products are different with the diffrence of the reactive substances, but there will be the emergence of pyrite as long as redox reaction process in hydrothermal chemical programme. The reaction time of the pyrite crystal growth can not be controled in pyrite crystal growth process. Cryogenic phase (250℃-280℃) control mechanism controls the pyrite crystal growth, in the warm phase (more than 330℃) two-dimensional forming nuclear mechanism begins to replace control mechanism, high temperature phase (380℃) three demensional forming nuclear mechanism is advantaged.
