Abstract


Objective: The aim of the study is to discuss the effects of rosiglitazone and fenofib- rate on serum adiponectin and interleukin-8 in patients with hyperglycaemia and(or) hypertriglyceridemia patients, and to evaluate their action on insulin sensitivity and chronic inflammation.Methods: Seventy eight outpatients with hyperglycaemia and hypertriglyceridemia which were fist checked out were recruited.The serum of each patient was taken in empty stomach state then we measured the fast glucose、plasma lipoprotein、 blood pressure and insulin of the patient and a detailed history was recorded. Depending on their plasma glucose and lipoprotein , the patients were devided into 3 groups(16 male and 10 female in each group) : patients with hyperglycemia and hypertriglyceridemia, treated by fenofibrate and rosiglitazone; patients with hyperglycemia,treated by rosiglitazone;patients with hypertriglyceridemia, treated by fenofibrate. Each group would accept drugs therapy for 3 months together with diet and exercise therapy. Three months later, serum was collected in empty stomach state,and fast glucose、plasma lipoprotein、blood pressure and insulin of the patient were measured.Twenty six healthy persons with perfect age,gender,BMI and body
