Modern circulation management is the trend of developing in corporations, whose center is information. At present, many tobacco corporations whatever domestic or international have already started lead into the solution of modern circulation management; pass the automatic cigarette delivery system to replace the traditional handicraft homework. In automatic cigarette delivery system, automatic cigarette selection is an important sub-link, as a key part of the sub-link, on-line automatic cigarette recognition system cannot be lacked.This paper with the whole research of cigarette recognition system for the main line carries on the organization. The introduction part introduces the background knowledge and the research meaning of cigarette recognition system、CIR、 the developing process of technique、 researching process and applied and international. Also carry on the discussion in main difficulty, which is existed in on-line cigarette recognition. Then, pass the analysis to the colorful resolution and the size resolution, completed to deduce to other parameters of system and set concrete data. Aim at the bad image capture environment in industry spot and actual requests, this paper carries on the analysis and research in preprocess algorithm of cigarette image, and use denoising algorithm as well as linear modify algorithm preprocess the original image which is captured by camera.Image recognition is the core of the whole cigarette recognition system, and the feature extraction is the key of image recognition. This paper carries on analysis and summary deeply in some classical image’ s feature, and a new image feature-energy feature is purposed.
