With the rapid development of agriculture and industry, the wide application of chemical products, pesticide and fertilizer, and the implication of waste water in cities, the pollution of heavy metals to soil and water has now become more and more severe. It has become a great threat to human health. How to control and alleviate the pollution of heavy metals to the environment is now a big problem. The possible recovery mechanism of plants and the harm and resistance under heavy metal stress has become a recent hot research topic.Choosing Robinia pseudoacacia L. as the main experimental material, Pisum sativum L. and Populus canadensis Oliv. as two comparison materials, through more than two years experiments, we analyzed the distribution and accumulation of heavy metal Pb, Cd in the leaves and roots of R. pseudoacacia L., using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and TEM X-ray microanalysis. We also detected Pb, Cd contents in organelles of R. pseudoacacia L. leaf and root by semi-quantitative measuring methods and K+ contents by Pb2+, Cd2+ treatments were measured. Using another control species P. sativum L. and P. canadensis Oliv., effective factors of Pb, Cd distribution and corresponding K+ contents were analyzed.The leaf and root cells from the potted seedlings of R. pseudoacacia L. were studied, focusing on their ultrastructural damages under Pb2+ concentrations of 100 mg/L and 400 mg/L as well as Cd2+ concentrations of 20 mg/L and 100 mg/L every day as modest and serious stress respectively.
