Abstract


Land use evaluation by GIS is a new important method. In order to meet these needs, we carry out this study. Without dependent on other big general GIS, the combination of land use evaluation and GIS will be good to teaching and learning and may be used in practice.At present land use evaluation methods mainly includes limited factor method, index method, analysis by synthesis method, ambiguity clustering method, weighting index method, index squared method, etc.. Although there are many evaluation methods and evaluation factors now, region land use evaluation finally depends on evaluation objects and specific conditions. In the paper, on the base of GIS, automatic and quantitative land resources evaluation methods were discussed, which included realization evaluation unit division by GIS space analysis function,carrying out factor selection and weight establishment by contradictory and uniform of graph base and attribute base,carrying out land resource analysis and evaluation by computer automatic making graph, land classification, etc.. Furthermore, land evaluation index selection, evaluation method selection, land classification selection were discussed. This research would open a new approach for land resource evaluation and be good to land use structure adjustification and land resource and social-economic development sustained.
