Abstract

Genital herpes (GH) is a recurrent sexually transmitted infection that causes significant morbidity and it is also the major source of herpes simplex virus II (HSV-II) in cases of neonatal herpes. As a potential carcinogen, GH is easy to cause abortion, diffuse and recrudesce, and up to now, there is still no specific medicine for it. The traditional treatment of GH includes the conservative treatment, antivirus treatment and Chinese traditional medicine treatment. But the Antivirus drug treatment just can ease the HSV infector’s symptom, better body sign, decrease the virus release, and it is not the curative treatment. The conservative treatment and Chinese traditional medicine treatment are symptomatic treatment. Among HSV-2 preventives, Vaccine belongs to the immunity treatment and has wide applications in practice, but it has significant disadvantages.Up to now, attenuated live vaccine, gene engineering vaccine and DNA vaccine are active immune procedure, and they are not so effective to the immunodeficiency patients and low immunity suffers.
