Object: To explore the mechanism and clinical effect of the therapeutic of XiaoChaiHuTang(CLT) on chronic glomerulonephritis。Methods: 40 patients with chronic glomerulonephritis treated by XiaoChaiHuTang 。 The urine protein 、 urinary sediment RBC and symptomatic scores were compared before treatment and after 2 months treatment。Results: After 2 months treatment, the results show that the recovery rate was 17.5%, the marked rate was 37.5%, the effective rate was 30.0%, the improvement rate was 85.0%。 Compared with before treatment, the total score of symptom was obviously decreased (P<0.01) , and so did urine protein and urinary sediment RBC (P<0.05) 。Conclusion : XiaoChaiHuTang is effective to treat chronic glomerulonephritis, which can decrease urine protein and urinary sediment RBC, obviously improve hepatic-renal function and clinical symptom。 In differentiation, Dampness-heat symptom is most effective。
