Abstract


The success of the automobile industrially developed country bears witness to the great role of auto finance in promoting the development of auto industry. The auto finance has not only greatly promoted automobile sale and automobile consumption, but has expanded the value chain of the auto industry. Yet China auto finance is still in its outset stage; its business and variety is simplex, the current rate of auto purchasing by credit is lower than 10%, far behind the average rate of 70% in the world. However on the other hand, the Chinese automobile market is the fastest-rising market in the world, with both thriving production and marketing as well as overpowering demand for financing. Why China auto finance market is in such a depressing situation? Now that our auto finance service field has already opened to the outside world, it has great realistic significance to study and compare auto finance in China and in foreign countries, and to use foreign advanced experience as a reference to develop auto finance in our country.There are four chapters in this article. Chapter one, expounds the macro-environment of developing auto finance in China from the following aspects, namely the definition, background and functions of auto finance, the necessity and feasibility of developing auto finance in China.Chapter two, compares respectively the service organizations, financing modes, profit modes and credit risk management of auto finance at home and abroad; analyses their discrepancies, good and bad as well as corresponding causes; and finally summarizes the advanced experience of the international auto finance, pointing out the direction for the reform and development of the Chinese auto finance.Chapter three, makes a comparison of the legal environment and market environment of China and foreign auto finance to find out the external bottleneck of restraining our national auto finance development and to summarize the relevant measures for the future Chinese auto finance development, utilizing foreign successful experience.Chapter four points out the main problems facing the China auto finance, then puts forward the corresponding countermeasures for resolving these problems based on the above comparison of the inherent and external factors auto finance in China and in foreign countries. Finally looks forward to the bright future of China auto
