Abstract


Electrical-smelted magnesia is a sort of fireproof material which is widely used in many fields such as metallurgy industry, glass industry, cement industry, electric-heater in household appliances and high-temperature chemical industry. At present, Electrical Smelting Furnace for Magnesia (ESFM) is one of the most widely used equipments in electric-smelted magnesia production. Among the technological parameters, Electrode Circle Diameter (ECD) is an important parameter to determine the position of the three-phase AC electrode and affects on the quality of production and power consumption directly. ECD is defined from operators’ work experience, therefore, it is urgent required to undertake the research and development on guidance software for optimizing the technological parameters to realize energy saving, increase the economical profits to the corporations. Supported by National Science and Technology Support Plan Program "Magnesium Industry Integrated Energy Saving Technological Innovation Project", and based on domestic electrical-smelted magnesia production. A research on the relation among the electrode circle diameter, specific power consumption and quality coefficients is undertaken. As well as, the software for the technological parameters optimization of ESFM is designed and developed.The main works in this dissertation are as follows:1. After investigating and researching on-line smelting procedure, a great deal of practical data of electrode circle diameter, specific power consumption and quality coefficients are collected. Aiming at the problem that the production with too much interference factor, and difficult establishment of an accurate mathematical model, neural network is proposed in the thesis and a predicting BP model is established. Quality coefficients and ECD are taken input, and specific power consumption is taken as output in this model. On the premise of given expectation parmeters of production quality, the initial value of ECD is determined via minimum disposal of specific power consumption.2. According to the definition of initial value in ECD, and the research on practical operation experiences. Rules of initial value of ECD correting and compensating are extracted. The rules are determined by the L.OL and degree of furance’s shelt wear. ECD is corrected and conpersated through formard reasioning to deteremine ultimately.3. On the base of software of Visual Basic6.0 and SQL Server2000, the instructed software optimizing the technological parameters of the ESMF is designed and developed, to realize the optimation ECD.
