Objective To investigate the developmental exposure to lithium-ion impact on the chicks cognitive function , and provide a theoretical basis for the side effects of lithium ion in the treatment of BPD patients . Methods In this study, divided into four parts Developmental exposure to lithium ion chicks cognitive function . ( 1) using the method of the the embryonic gas chamber administration to chick embryos injected with different concentrations of lithium chloride solution , and then take advantage of the best one-off passive avoidance learning model to detect lithium ion impact on the cognitive function of the day-old chicks . ( 2 ) using graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry to detect the level of accumulation of lithium ion in the chicken brain . (3) was detected by RT-PCR method the chicks learning and memory - related genes JUN, NMDA, BDNF expression , to explore the mechanism of embryonic exposure to lithium ion impact chicks cognitive function . (4) applied to the in vitro culture of chick embryo glial cell lithium ion detection lithium ions on the growth of glial cells . Results ( 1) embryonic exposure to lithium ion chicks hatching , but the impact of the chicks of short-term memory (STM) and long memory ( LTM ) . ( 2 ) embryonic exposure to lithium ions lead to the chicks brain tissue high lithium ion accumulation . ( 3) embryonic exposure to lithium-ion to make the learning and memory - related genes JUN of NMDA expression down-regulated , while the expression of BDNF are raised . ( 4 ) embryonic exposure to lithium ion inhibits the growth of the chick embryo glial cells . Conclusion embryonic exposure to lithium-ion impact the chick embryo nervous system development , a strong injury chicks cognitive ability .
