Abstract
|
Polymer particles were prepared by using cyclohexane as continuous phase, Span 80 as emulsifier, sodium chloride as costabilizer, azobisisobutyronitrile as initiator with inverse miniemulsion polymerization of acrylamide. Dynamic light scattering techniques were used to study the effect of the process parameters on the paticles size. The results show that the particle size are mainly dependant on emulsifier concentration, ultrasonic power and oil to water volume ratio, while other factors are little effective. On the basis of the mentioned work before, the double-inver miniemulsion technology was adopted to preprare polymer nanocomposites. Dynamic light scattering technology was used to study the polymerization process. The results indicat that the process was mainly induced by Ostwald ripening effect, meanwhile the particle size and its distribution and ionic strength were especially critical in the double-inverse miniemulsion system to preprare nanocomposites.Double-inverse miniemulsion is usefull technology to prepare nanocomposites, through of which, PNaAA@Fe3O4 nanocomposite particles were successfully prepared in the present work. Compared with other methods, it is independent on the electrostatic force, hydrogen bonds and chemical bonds, which may enlarge the application in preparing nanocomposites. Nanoparticles are encapsulated in miniemulsion firstly and then other nanoparticles can be formed on the surface of the miniemulsion particles, which will be a useful way to praprared multi-function nanocomposites. Based on the idea, we also preprared Fe3O4/PAM@CdS, this new technique will be a great potential in preparing multi-function nanocomposites.
