Abstract


With excellent characteristics of high strength, high hardness , high wear resistance and high temperature engineering ceramics , metal and composite materials are known as the three pillars of modern engineering materials , but because of the difficult processing characteristics of ceramic materials , to a large extent on limiting the promotion and application of ceramic materials in high-tech fields . Characteristics of engineering ceramic materials and ultrasonic ultrasound used in precision machining of engineering ceramics . According to the local resonance theory , design and production of the acoustic system suitable for of dimensional ultrasound polishing flat , and tooling vibration performance test ; application indentation fracture mechanics theory , studied hard and brittle material removal mechanism and under different processing conditions , the relative trajectory of the particle motion of the specimen as well as single grain analysis simulation, found that when ultrasound is applied in the y direction , its trajectory is different from the ordinary polishing and single grain rectilinear trajectory , but have a certain amplitude of the sinusoidal curve described dimensional ultrasonic vibration polishing abrasive scratches wider than normal when polishing abrasive scratches , thus proving the efficiency of the polishing of the two-dimensional ultrasound mechanism ; through engineering ceramic polishing force pilot study found that the ultrasonic vibration polishing force is less than ordinary polishing force under the same processing conditions ; analyze the impact of different processing parameters on surface roughness by comparing the surface roughness after polishing by orthogonal test and multiple linear regression analysis to study the parameters of polishing a significant degree of surface roughness , come to the best polishing parameters , given the surface roughness of the test formula ; electron microscopy experiments revealed grinding and the essential difference polishing , and further illustrates the ultrasonic polishing better than ordinary polishing , ultrasonic polishing scraps of material removal , and surface pits are relatively shallow , relatively large flat surface area . Experimental studies have shown that the ultrasound used in polishing technology , engineering ceramics is an efficient processing method .
