In this paper, the Matlab language to write and debug a three-dimensional finite-difference beam propagation method for solving waveguide midfielder distribution calculation program, and the actual calculation . The program can calculate both the refractive index of the uniform distribution of the three - dimensional optical waveguide can also be calculated on any non-uniform refractive index distribution of the light field in the optical waveguide transmission . The results show that the programming reasonable accurate results . On this basis , the use of plural atomic polarizability erbium ion particle number distribution , AND Field Solution influence on the waveguide completion solving erbium-doped waveguide gain characteristic calculation procedures . Specific calculation to obtain a reasonable calculation results , which shows the correctness of the program . The advantage of this program paper analyzes the impact of erbium-doped waveguide amplifier parameters on the gain characteristics . Paper work for the calculation of three - dimensional optical waveguide and gain characteristics analysis and design optimization laid the foundation.
