With the home air conditioner popularity , traditional ceiling fans due to the function of a single , and home layout conflicts and other reasons , has began to fade out . However, with higher demands on energy conservation , indoor air quality , comfort , and noise , a kind of landscape lighting , different operating mode selected multi-functional high-end ceiling fans but in rapid development . High-end ceiling fans on the market still use traditional ceiling fan motor drive , such as low-power single-phase induction motor , or single-phase commutator motor . Such motor speed control performance is poor , difficult to meet the requirements of high-end ceiling fans run mode control , especially its power index of low loss and higher operating costs . Permanent magnet brushless DC motor ( hereinafter referred to as the brushless motor ) the characteristics of the DC motor , speed control and performance control , brushless motor gradually into the spotlight . Well known, when the low speed of the brushless motor , the desired PWM duty cycle is very low , so that the winding current is not continuous , resulting in more higher harmonic components , this will cause the brushless ceiling fan running smoothly poor , especially is a relatively large electromagnetic noise problems . Brushless the ceiling fans electromagnetic noise generated for many reasons , but the motor winding current is not continuous , the electromagnetic noise generated by high harmonic current . This end, a BUCK circuit between the power supply and the inverter to adjust the terminal voltage of the brushless motor windings , so that the inverter in an exchange phase cycle is not necessary to perform PWM chopping , i.e. via the front of the controller the chopper achieve the purpose of improving the motor winding currents and noise reduction . This article describes the current situation of the development status and trends of the ceiling fans and the outer rotor brushless motor ; brushless ceiling fan controller based on C8051F and IPM module PS21964 front chopper high-end focus on and expand the work of the hardware and software design ; study pole slot tie and auxiliary tank motor electromagnetic noise and ripple torque ; build a ceiling fan brushless motor test platform and system debug and test . The field test results show that the brushless motor controller based on the pre - chopper ceiling fan can effectively reduce the torque ripple and electromagnetic noise in the ceiling fan running at low speed .
