Abstract

This study flange plate reinforced node is a typical beam section enhanced node. At beam ends welded flange reinforcing plate to improve the resistance moment of the cross-section of the beam end, so that the plastic hinge from the relocation of the beam-column weld connection at play improve node ductility, the ability to prevent the node brittle failure. Is connected to the flange plate reinforcing type (FPC) in the beam flange and column flange is not directly connected, but the transition through the reinforcing plate and the reinforcing plate and the beam flange fillet weld connections to strengthen the plate and the column flange groove penetration welding connection . The test portion of this article were designed 4 scale ratio of 1/2 of the flange plate reinforced the bending steel frame column T-shaped connection, flange plates are rectangular in shape, material Q235B steel welding rod series E43, trial design pieces according to the current specification, design method and structural requirements of the specification FEMA350 reference to the U.S. to study the impact of its hysteresis curve by changing the length and thickness of the flange plate. In order to validate the test results, specimen ANSYS simulation. 6 model specimen using ANSYS simulation test, strengthened by changing the flange plate length and thickness of reinforcing plate parameters hysteretic behavior of the specimen. Test and ANSYS model the load results showed that: (1) The flange plate to strengthen the plastic hinge specimen type connectors strengthen the formation of the end of the plate about 1/4 high beam position, away from the protection of the beam-column joints connecting weld. Severe buckling ultimate load on the flange and web local buckling of the beam web; (2) flange plate reinforced connections when the flange strengthen the thickness of the plate is less than the thickness of the beam flange, can not achieve the Plastic Hinge Shifting the minimum thickness of the flange plate should be greater than the thickness of the beam flange; (3) the geometry of the flange of the reinforcing plate to strengthen the type connecting nodes have a more significant impact on the flange plate, the longer the length of the reinforcing plate, the thicker, plastic Hinge Shifting phenomenon is more significant. When flange plate length of more than 0.8 times the high beam, the column centerline at the moment is relatively large, relatively large difference of shear at the the the column inflection point at Shear column stiffeners, column connections domain by the relatively large shear node domain susceptible to shear forces and brittle failure in design should be given special attention; smaller of the length of the flange plate, to strengthen the role of the flange plate connected weak, would not achieve the plastic hinge relocation; (4) recommended flange strengthen board length range (0.5 ~ 0.8) h; flange reinforcing plate minimum thickness values ??(1.2 to 1.4) t.
