Abstract

With the problems of environmental pollution and resource depletion have become increasingly prominent in recent years , countries around the world race to the implementation of the sustainable development of energy policy . Solar energy is a human inexhaustible renewable resources , the most direct one of the clean energy are also available . Solar power and photovoltaic power generation in the public eye. The solar cell is the solar energy directly converted into electrical energy of a semiconductor device . Solar energy as a renewable clean energy and more attention. The solar cell development has gone through three processes : (1) the first generation of silicon wafer - based solar cells , the technology has matured , material costs dominate the total production costs . Its production cost is too high so that people hesitate to sacrifice cell conversion efficiency at the expense of the development of thin film solar cells . (2) over the past 15 years has developed a low-cost second-generation thin - film solar cells . The production units (~ 100cm ~ 2) from a silicon wafer to a glass substrate (~ 1m ~ 2), about increased 100 - fold . However, to achieve greater progress , the conversion efficiency must be increased dramatically. (3 ) the solar photoelectric conversion efficiency of the Carnot upper limit is 95% , much higher than the theoretical upper limit of the standard solar cells , show that the performance of solar cells , there is much room for development . The next few decades , will be developed in the third generation of the high conversion efficiency of thin-film solar cells . Limit the efficiency of the first generation of solar cells in to consider solar cells is partial to the delicate balance between the PN junction light absorption and photoexcitation drawn . On the basis of the calculated limit the efficiency of single-junction solar cells , the papers discussed the upper limit of the solar energy conversion to impact ionization battery , three with battery , four with battery , for example , to calculate the impact ionization battery , three with battery four with the conversion efficiency of the battery , and simulation with Matlab , to make the analysis of simulation results .
