Abstract


Objective:To observe acupuncture combined with Chinese herbs (self fourth flavor Wendan Decoction) Per os treatment of vertebral artery type of cervical disease (Syndrome of Phlegm-dampness Blocking Collaterals) and clinical efficacy.Methods:90 patients met the inclusion criteria from Taihe Hospital of Shiyan City, Hubei Province, acupuncture clinics and hospitalized patients were randomly divided according to the ratio of 1:1:1 acupuncture combined group, EA group, three groups of Chinese Medicines. Group was treated with acupuncture combined with the wind pool, neck Jiaji acupuncture combined with Chinese herbs (from self fourth flavor Wendan Decoction) oral treatment; EA group with a simple wind pool, neck Jiaji acupuncture treatment; traditional Chinese medicine group were treated with self fourth flavor Wendan Decoction Per os treatment.Results:The cure rate of the group was 53.3%, the total effective rate was 96.67%;the cure rate of EA group was 50.00%, total effective rate was 93.33%;the cure rate of traditional Chinese medicine group was 43.30%, total effective rate was 90.00%. The TCD consequences of the three groups about prior-treatment and post-treatment was highly significant deviation (P <0.05).But the TCD consequences among the three groups was no significant difference (P>0.05).There was no significant difference about Fully recover rates among the three groups.The accumulate recovery rate of the group in two weeks had highly significant deviation (P<0.05) compared with EA group and traditional Chinese medicine group.After 3 month the recur rate of the group was 3.33%, but EA group was 16.67% and traditional Chinese medicine group was 13.33%.So the group had highly significant deviation compared with EA group and traditional Chinese medicine group.Conclusions:This study of vertebral artery type of cervical disease pathogenesis, "the virtual table Actuality mixed" start, the use of acupuncture combined with Chinese herbs (from the fourth flavor Wendan Decoction Per os) orally, not only the vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis The total course of treatment of patients has been significantly reduced, but also to the disease recurrence rate was significantly reduced. From a clinical point of view, combined with acupuncture treatment can shorten the course of treatment, reduce the relapse rate of savings in medical costs and improve patient quality of life better. On the other hand the treatment of acupuncture combined with full play the advantages of acupuncture and Chinese medicine treatment, has played a complementary good results, it is in the clinical application.
