Antitumor Effect of Ling-Qi Capsule on the Sarcoma S180 and Its Effect on Expression of bFGF, MMP-2 and MMP-9

Abstract


Objective: To study the LQC anti-tumor effects in vivo and to explore its mechanism . Methods : To establish S 180 tumor-bearing mice animal models , were randomly divided into six groups, were LQC , in the low- dose group ; the LQC plus compound cyclophosphamide group ( hereinafter referred to as the spirit plus ring group ); positive control group : compound cyclophosphamide ; model control group : normal saline . Each group were gavage . 11 days later, the mice were sacrificed , recorded before and after treatment changes in body weight of mice , whichever tumor weighing inhibitory rate was calculated and calculating the thymus index , spleen index . Formalin-fixed tumor blocks , immunohistochemistry was used to detect each group of tumor-bearing mice tumor tissue basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF), matrix metalloproteinase -2 ( MMP -2 ) , matrix metalloproteinase -9 (MMP -9 ) expression levels. HE staining, the tumor tissue pathological morphology by light microscopy . Results : LQC mice S 180 tumor-bearing tissue inhibit tumor inhibition rate of up to 35.68% , 46.26% , 25.99% , significantly inhibited tumor growth at the same time does not reduce body weight ; certain the LQC doses of tumor-bearing mice thymus , spleen index had no significant effect , the joint compound cyclophosphamide also can improve the immunosuppressive effects ; the LQC dose could significantly reduce S 180 Dutch tumor tissue of tumor-bearing mice bFGF , MMP - 2 , MMP -9 expression levels ; morphological observation LQC can promote tumor cell necrosis and inhibition of angiogenesis , and trigger the inflammatory cell response . Conclusion: LQC the the mouse S 180 of sarcoma significantly inhibited . The mechanism may be achieved by improving immune function , inhibit tumor angiogenesis .
