Abstract


[ Objective] To explore the anterior decompression and interbody fusion with plate autogenous iliac and allogeneic cortical bone fixation for the treatment of single level cervical disc herniation efficacy and surgical methods , while comparison of autologous bone and allogeneic bone fusion rate . [ Method ] follow-up were retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 35 cases in March 2005 to December 2006 , with anterior decompression and interbody fusion with plate fixation for the treatment of patients with cervical disc herniation and surgical treatment results . The group of 20 males , 15 females ; aged 35 to 67 years , with an average of 50.3 years . Course of 3 months to 12 months . Central cervical disc 24 cases , 11 cases of nerve root type , maximum segment C3 , the lowest segment C6 , 7 . Including the use of autologous bone grafts, 17 cases , allogeneic three cortical bone 18 cases . The patients were followed up for 6 to 18 months , an average of 11 months , the fusion rate was statistically analyzed postoperative 6 months . [ Results] 35 cases of the solid fusion patients were followed up for 3 to 6 months, 33 cases had no plants complications , symptoms of nerve compression recovery or improvement . Two cases after six months without the bone fusion , fusion rate of 94.1% since the autograft group and allograft bone group one case , the autograft group group of allogeneic bone fusion rate was 94.4% , no significant difference between the two (P> 0.05). [Conclusion ] anterior decompression and autologous bone or allograft plate fixation is an effective method of treatment of single segment of cervical disc herniation , high fusion rate obtained from the bone and allogeneic bone fusion can obtain excellent the clinical efficacy .
