Objective To investigate the cause of obstructive jaundice patients and evaluation of ultrasound , abdominal CT (CT ) , magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) , endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography (PTC) Five inspection methods the diagnostic value of obstructive jaundice . Methods January 2003 to January 2009 l1 patients in our hospital diagnosed with obstructive jaundice , comparative analysis of various inspection methods on the site of obstruction and the accuracy of the cause of obstruction . Results of patients diagnosed with obstructive jaundice 473 , B-ultrasound , abdominal CT, MRCP, ERCP and PTC display on the site of obstruction in patients were 59.6% ( 257 / 431 ) , 80.9% ( 106 / 131 ) , 88.8% ( 326 / 367 ) , 84.2% ( 64 / 76 ) , 100% ( 31 / 31 ) , and obstruction reasons : Mirrizi syndrome , biliary tract infections , ascariasis , gallbladder , common bile duct stones in the common bile duct cyst , liver bile duct cell carcinoma , ampullary carcinoma , duodenal papilla cancer , duodenal papilla diverticulum , duodenal papillitis , biliary stricture , the hilar lymph node metastasis of postoperative gastric cancer , pancreatic cancer , lumps pancreas inflammation . Conclusion various diagnostic methods have their advantages and disadvantages , MRCP in the diagnosis of obstructive jaundice has great value , but still need to carry out other checks necessary to differential diagnosis .
